What a week!

I know lame-ass picture right! I was in a hurry to post this so I just whipped it up...

Today filming and production began for SOURCE. The first good bit of filming I was able to do alone in system link, provided the extra controllers (plus thanks to the smart people at Bungie... it's the only way for me to lower my weapon). I will not need any third party help from other people, until the next filming session. I have not set a date in stone for the next filming session as of yet, but I am really pushing for tomorrow (the 29th).

Production went well, the only trouble I had was with my capture card not wanting to encode the codecs correctly, but after about 30 minutes of wresting with it, restarting my computer and 10 cans of Mt. Dew later it finally wanted to cooperate with me. So, once I have decided on a set date for the MEAT as I call it of the episode... I will make a post. Until then, try to be on tomorrow night.

I guess it's time to official announce that I will be entering into the GTV: "Laughs for Cash" competition. It's a Halo 3 Comedy Machinima Contest with over 200 dollars in prizes. The deadline is in April, and filming and production began this week on the project. We are about half way at this point, and plan to hit the deadline with days to spare. Swing by GTV to read more about the contest.

Probable cause... righhht!

As of tonight (3/24/08) production and filming for SOURCE was to commence. BUT due to unexpected flaws in scheduling it did not. I could go into great detail of why it didn't, but I will spare you the trouble.

In short, I went out for a night on the town with some friends. I was expecting to be home around 10 o'clock CST to begin filming for episode one of SOURCE. Well... we ended up driving about an hour and a half away from my house (got into a bit of trouble with law) and I did not walk through my front door till about 11:30pm.

I apologize to those who were expecting to take part in the filming tonight, and I promise you that if I tell you a date and time for the next session it will be kept. You have my word.

Speaking of which, filming will officially start on Friday - March 28th. The reason for it being four days from now, is because I do have one MAJOR machinima project in mind in the near future. One that can possibly earn me some cash. You will know about that within the week. All I can say is that it will be based around Comedy - a first for me. That should be finished withing a few days, nothing big. But something that could be potentially worthy of due credit. Like I said you will know more about that in full coming this Friday.

And thus it begins!

Well everyone I have returned from my trip from Canada and it was absolutly amazing! But I'm going to get straight to the point of this post.

Now that I am back, it's time for Eden to start production on two of (in my mind) the best projects that will ever come from us.

Those projects are HAVEN and SOURCE. The way this will work is this:

I have purchased some brand new editing software for my computer, in the next week I will be installing all of it. The cast for SOURCE is already chosen, the script is already laid out and written and starting on March 23 production will commence.

SOURCE is going to be the first ever series from Eden and it's going to be filmed in 3 video segments with a video being released for every two that are filmed. Season 1 is planned to have about 10 episodes minimum. This is to help consistency and production that comes from Eden.

After the first 5 episodes are released for SOURCE it will then go on a mid-season break, during this break production for HAVEN will commence. HAVEN should take no less than a few weeks to a month to produce and release. Once that is complete then production on the final 5 episodes on SOURCE will begin.

Most of you have a general idea of what HAVEN is about, or maybe you don't. Either way, you know something. Whether it be the style of the cinematography, or the characters name, RIVER. The same can not be said about SOURCE.

I don't want to give to much away, but I can tell you this: SOURCE is going to be a (sorta) blending of the TV show LOST and THE MATRIX TRILOGY. The reason I say sorta, is because it's not a rip in any way what so ever of either LOST or THE MATRIX. The only reason I even mention the two, is to give you a general sense of things when it comes to certain elements of the series.

You will be following the story of MATTHEW VAIL, as he awakens in a place most of us should be familiar with, but never actually expecting it to be real. You follow him as well as 4 others as they try to figure out how they got to this place, why they are there, how to survive, and more importantly, what they are trying to survive through.

SOURCE is a mystery wrapped in suspense, and action. With a little comedy and terror thrown in. It's going to be the biggest production in terms of length and size for me, but unlike my last series LEGENDARY, I now know what I am up against, and am prepared for it. The first episode is scheduled to release in April of 2008 so be ready.

I created two Promo-Posters for SOURCE as well. On one poster you see VAIL, and on the other is SAM - somebody that you will come to know within the first episode of the show. The inspiration for these posters came from both the Iron Man promo-posters and both the transformer promos.
